Zeina Amr is a Cairo-based filmmaker whose interests centre on self-reflexive cinema, gender, and Egyptian popular culture. Her debut short and graduation film, The Day After, examines coming of age, girlhood, shame, and pleasure, and premiered in the Egyptian Panorama section of the 46th Cairo International Film Festival. Alongside directing, she has worked across short films as a producer, co-writer, and assistant director.
