Director Bio: Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ajmi is an Omani film director and the secretary of the Omani Cinema Association. He holds a diploma in lighting and a bachelor s degree in radio and television. He has won over 10 awards in the field of cinema, including the Audience Award at the Sur International Film Festival in Lebanon for his film Al Muneer in 2023, and the Jury Prize at the Shababik International Festival for his film Dayera. He also won the Best Omani Film award at the East International Cinema Festival in 2023 for his film Al Muneer. In addition, he won the Arts Award for Promotional Films in 2024 for his film Oman, Land of Peace, and the Ain Platform Award and Audience Award at the Second East Cinema Festival in 2024 for his film Al Muraad. He has directed more than 12 short narrative and documentary films, and participated in over 20 international festivals. He has also served as the director of several film festivals in various governorates of the Sultanate, such as the International Batina Film Festival, the First Film Forum in Muscat, and the Salem Bahwan Short Film Competition. He has also worked as a cinematographer for several films, including The Road to Mecca directed by Anwar Al-Ruzaiqi, Blue Maybe directed by Mohammed Al-Kindi, Ashes directed by Suleiman Al-Khalili, and Al Darouj directed by Dr. Hamid Al-Amri. He has participated in several film festival juries.
