Director Bio: George Ashkar is a promising young filmmaker who lives in Damascus, Syria. He is currently studying filmmaking and entering his graduation year in The Higher Institution Of Cinematic Arts, Besides that He has also successfully worked as an assistant director in two feature films with prominent Syrian directors. He has done two short narrative films this year and preparing for the third one as a graduate film in a new genre which is documentary to gain more knowledge and expand his experience in the film industry. George aims to tell the stories of the unheard people in Damascus especially the young generation that suffered from the consequences of war and he believes that global films are the ones who tell the true local stories.
