An Egyptian film director born in Cairo on September 28. The son of renowned media figure Hazem El Shinnawy, he graduated from the Faculty of Mass Communication at Cairo University in 2007 and later pursued film studies in London. He began his career as an assistant director on the documentary Tahrir 2011: The Good, the Bad and the Politician and the feature film Asmaa.
