The Battle of the Bridges took place at dawn on August 2, 1990, during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, when Kuwait’s 35th Armored Brigade confronted advancing Iraqi forces near Jahra despite limited resources. After fierce clashes and heavy Iraqi reinforcements, the brigade withdrew to Saudi Arabia to regroup and later join the Liberation of Kuwait.
