Ammar Zainal
Artistic Director
Ammar Zainal is the Co-Founder and the Artistic Director of Bahrain Film Festival (BFF). He is a Bahraini Filmmaker, Actor, and a Voiceover Artist with a keen interest in cinema. He started his journey as a performer in theater back in 2001. He is currently serving as a vice president of the Bahrain Cinema Club.
Ammar dived into cinema in 2016, which allowed him to merge creativity with storytelling, transforming ideas into visually compelling narratives. Ammar’s work has been recognized internationally where he was invited to participate as a jury member and a member of the selection committee for international film festivals in the region.
He believes that every story has the potential to change the way we see the world. As a filmmaker, he aims to create films that resonate with audiences on a deep, emotional level, all while staying true to his cultural roots. Whether it’s behind the camera or lending his voice to characters, his dedication to the art of filmmaking is always at the forefront.
